Resonating with this are the Eastern artists' interpretations of tranquility and time: Chen San reveals the grandeur of landscapes through rhythmic brushwork; Ma Dongmin unfurls a spiritual presence that achieves "monumentality within the miniature" through his ultimate pursuit of blue and the concept of "misty clouds"; Lin Mo constructs a framed site of light and shadow using classical frames and layers of carved acrylic; while Lin Chunyan orchestrates a dialogue between the weight of the earth and the breathing vitality of life on the canvas through heavy oil impasto and scraper marks.
