Next Chapter marks a new beginning in Xixi Li’s art and life. As she returns to the United States to further her studies, her familiar figures take on new forms, revealing subtler, more complex emotions alongside their playfulness and curiosity. Through explorations of color, brushwork, and dreamlike landscapes, Li allows her figures to grow with her, inviting viewers to discover changes within the familiar and recognize moments of their own lives in her paintings.
