The inspiration for the pavement artwork comes from the renowned 17th-century Italian painter Giovanni Battista Tiepolo.Renowned for his egg-tempera frescoes and large-scale ceiling paintings, Tiepolo often depicted scenes from Greek mythology to convey allegories. In this work, the artist translates contemporary symbols — such as baseball, shopping, and entertainment — into a visual allegory for the site.
These elements intertwine into a multi-layered, timeless space, reflecting the intersection of the Baroque architecture of Songshan Cultural and Creative Park and the contemporary trends of the Taipei Dome.
