YUYU YANG MUSEUM was established in 1992, transformed from the artist Yuyu Yang’s own residence. Though modest in size, the museum distills the essence of Yang’s artistic vision.
Yuyu Yang was a key pioneer of modern sculpture in post-war Taiwan. His work spans printmaking, sketches, and sculpture, exploring the connections between traditional and modern culture, religious philosophy, and the natural environment.
The museum’s permanent exhibition features selected representative works from various periods, showcasing how Yang transformed calligraphic lines into three-dimensional sculptures. His use of stainless steel and other materials conveys the dynamic energy and force of life, reflecting his deep concern for society and humanity, as well as his spirit of artistic innovation.
