Constructed alongside the hillside overlooking the Guandu Plain, the Kuandu Museum of Fine Arts (KdMoFA), Taipei National University of Fine Arts (TNUA) is Taiwan’s first professional art museum situated on an art university. The six-story museum includes nine exhibition galleries and two outdoor plazas. Through its unique position as a university art museum, it engages in exhibitions, education, public service, and research-based collections, creating a vibrant space for artistic perception and cultural creativity. With a commitment to being a “professional art museum,” the KdMoFA focuses on inter-Asia and inter-institutional artistic exchange, research, and development. Through initiatives such as the Kuandu Biennale, themed curations of the Kuandu Arts Festival, international exchange exhibitions, and the Kuandu Residency & Do Open Call Curatorial Projects, the museum drives the advancement of Taiwan’s contemporary art scene and fosters cross-network connections. It fulfills its vital mission as a platform for both art education and social learning.
