AKI Gallery, established in 2002, is dedicated to promoting emerging Taiwanese contemporary artists with strong potential and international vision. From its inception, the gallery has garnered attention for introducing new artistic voices, gradually shaping a distinctive curatorial approach and brand identity.
Since 2006, AKI Gallery has actively expanded its international presence through thematic exhibitions and cross-border collaborations, featuring German contemporary art, Japanese postwar movements such as Gutai and Mono-ha, as well as new media art. It has also supported Taiwanese artists in participating in international biennials and academic exhibitions. The gallery regularly takes part in major global art fairs, advancing the visibility of Taiwanese art in prominent museums and collector networks.
From 2019 to 2024, AKI operated the Leipzig Prospect space in Germany to strengthen its ties with the European art scene. In 2025, it became the first Taiwanese gallery selected to participate in the prestigious New York art fair, The Armory Show.
Through dynamic curatorial practices and an international outlook, AKI Gallery continues to foster cultural exchange and deepen the global presence of Taiwanese contemporary art, serving as a vital cultural hub in the Asian art landscape.
