    The Taiwan Art Gallery Association is hosting the inaugural “Taipei Art Week” during ART TAIPEI. This year marks the 140th anniversary of the founding of Taipei City, and the event will feature nearly 70 galleries across eight districts, showcasing the charm and diversity of visual arts. Through “Taipei Art Week,” the goal is to bring visual art resources to the citizens of Taipei, people across Taiwan, and international visitors. The event aims to demonstrate Taipei’s vitality and allure as an international cultural metropolis through the power of Taiwan’s art.

    Taiwan Art Gallery Association (TAGA)

    Established in 1992, TAGA aims to integrate resources within the gallery sector and promote the development of Taiwan’s art market. The association has three main departments: the Administrative Center, Art Fairs, and the Taipei Art Industry Research Office. Each is responsible for member services, organizing domestic and international art fairs, and conducting art industry research and policy promotion. TAGA’s annual “ART TAIPEI” fair has become a key international art event in Asia, promoting Taiwan’s art industry and the prosperity of the gallery sector through local exhibitions and industry research.

    In Bloom

    The inaugural Taipei Art Week will adopt the theme “In Bloom,” focusing on “openness” as its core concept. The goal is for Taipei to bloom with art events throughout October, reflecting the idea of art blossoming everywhere.

    Taipei Art Week will divide the city into eight major districts, linking nearly 70 galleries to create a network for Taiwan’s art industry. This allows collectors and art lovers more opportunities to explore gallery spaces and the endless possibilities of art, positioning Taipei at the center of the international art map.

    Taipei Art Week connects about 18 major museums and private galleries in Taipei, from the Taipei Fine Arts Museum to the National Palace Museum, from the Museum of Contemporary Art Taipei to the Jut Art Museum.     TAW Installation

    The inaugural public art project of Taipei Art Week will be led by Lin Kun-Ying from LuxuryLogico, selecting highlight works from Taipei City. In conjunction with ART TAIPEI’s public art project (AT SPACE Project), it will merge key public art pieces in the city to create an art walk through the urban landscape.
