The Taiwan Art Gallery Association (hereinafter referred to as TAGA) collects, processes, and utilizes the personal data (hereinafter referred to as “Data”) that you actively provide or that is related to your membership, in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act of Taiwan.
As part of your membership, we will require you to provide your name, email address, and other information. During the period of your membership, we may also collect additional Data to assist us in providing membership services to you. We use your data in the TAGA VIP System to provide services, which include but are not limited to marketing our events and services, analyzing collector sources and our VIP lists, improving our services, and notifying you about services at TAGA-organized art fairs and upcoming promotions and events. You agree to the use of your data by us, which facilitates the provision of VIP services and the overall operation of TAGA.
We will use part of the information you provide on the online VIP application form and display it in our VIP system directory. This information includes your name, photo, job title, company name, company address, telephone number, fax number, and email address.
During the period you maintain your TAGA membership, and as long as we provide VIP services and for a reasonable period thereafter in accordance with this privacy policy, or until you request us to delete your data, TAGA will retain your Data.
TAGA will not sell or rent your data but may provide it to third parties to facilitate the delivery of VIP services or services to TAGA. Except in compliance with orders issued by courts or government departments under their jurisdiction or authority, or as required by other Taiwanese laws, your data will not be shared without your written consent.
If required by the effective laws of a third-party country, or if a third-party company/entity is bound by contractual terms that are similar to or serve the same purpose as Taiwan’s personal data protection laws, in any such case, your data may be transferred to a third party by TAGA.
In accordance with Article 3 of the Personal Data Protection Act in Taiwan, your rights include:
Inquiry or request to view.
Request for a copy.
Request for supplementation or correction.
Request to cease collection, processing, or utilization.
Request for deletion.
You have the right to exercise your statutory rights at any time. You may do so by sending a request via email (info@art-taipei.com) to TAGA to exercise your rights.
This privacy policy is available in both English and Chinese versions. In the event of any inconsistencies, the Chinese version shall prevail.
