Founded in 2020, PTT Space is a Taipei-based contemporary art gallery focusing on emerging East Asian and diaspora artists. The gallery critically re-examines historical and ideological legacies that shape East Asian art, exploring innovative practices that challenge traditional techniques and representation.

Small Things Here and There

PTT Space\\\'s current exhibition, \\\"Small Things Here and There,\\\" brings together five contemporary artists from diverse cultural backgrounds—Hideaki Kawashima, Masahiko Kuwahara, Naoki Koide, bLUE (Huang Yu-Chia), and TAYLOR LEE—who evoke the intricacies and subtleties of daily emotions through their works. Hideaki Kawashima, inspired by Yoshitomo Nara, focuses on nameless faces in his paintings, where seemingly calm portraits conceal an inner intensity. Masahiko Kuwahara\\\'s soft brushstrokes depict dolls, capturing fragments of scattered emotions within the canvas. Naoki Koide\\\'s ceramics combine cuteness, mystery, and eeriness, radiating charm through imaginative themes. Taiwanese artist bLUE (Huang Yu-Chia) continues to expand the world of his character \\\"Blue Beast,\\\" creating whimsical and healing scenarios. Los Angeles-based TAYLOR LEE\\\'s vibrant ceramic sculptures, with their rough yet warm textures, reclaim the warmth and joy of everyday life.
