The Mingshan Art team has been involved in Taiwan’s gallery industry since 1989. And has been nearly 30 years. In 2008, Mingshan Art was officially established. The most important goal of the gallery was inheriting art and culture. We also believe the quotes of Sima Qian, “Hiding the works in the mountain and passing to those who have a common goal”.And now we focus on modern and contemporary Chinese artists. Include oil painting, ink painting, prints, and sculpture. Operating in Taipei and Hsinchu.
Mingshan Art had been dedicating to the promotion of Chinese woodblock arts, and have achieved great successes. In recent years, we have been especially interested in the developments within contemporary Chinese artists. We maintain long-term representing of remarkable ink painters including Chu Ko, Wu Hsueh-Jang, Liu Kuo-Sung, Chiang Ming-Shyan, Zheng Bai- Zhong, Lee Cheng-Ming, Lee Chun-Yi and Raymond Fung. The realm of contemporary oil painting, we representing Chang Chen-Yu, Leigh Wen, Uong Ming-Jer and other young artists with both international vision and native consciousness.
In addition to our focus on the Chinese art world, we have also set our eyes globally with a focus on outstanding world-class contemporary artists. And feature the works of leading international artists such as Dali, Chu Teh-Chun, Zao Wou-Ki, Walasse Ting and so on. Between 2000 and 2008, artist Chu Teh-Chun collaborated with Mingshan Art to issue a total of 33 original lithographs, which perfectly showcases the magnificence and elegance of Eastern aesthetic. It elevates the value of printmaking between Taiwanese collectors. Furthermore, it makes more art enthusiast obtain access to appreciate the art legend and his masterpieces.
