This work primarily continues the spirit of New Ink Painting and creative reinterpretation from the past two years. The compositions mainly feature monochromatic tones, with lines and shapes inspired by various elements of nature, such as high mountains, waterfalls, unique animals, and the vast universe. During the creative process, various impromptu and free-form techniques such as scraping, smearing, washing, brushing, and dyeing are used to inject idea and structure into the work. The creative journey is like an unknown adventure with ever-changing rhythms. These changes are all reflected in the picture. Through the connections in context, the image sometimes resembles mountains and rocks, and at other times flowers and trees, presenting an ever-changing landscape. In the painting, viewers can see traces of history, the instantaneous changes in future space, and the rhythm of the present moment.

Cyan black is a color frequently used in Chou Chen's recent paintings. "Yinyi" means fusion.

Liu Hsin-Yi, a Taiwanese artist, graduated from the Department of Calligraphy and Painting of National Taiwan University of Arts. Currently teaching at Hsuan Chuang University, full-time assistant professor in the Department of Art and Creative Design. Liu Hsin-Yi's contemporary ink works are inspired from his deepest thoughts, and observing humans’ hearts. His works show a very subtle, quiet and gentle temperament. His paintings have rendered a strong mental and psychological atmosphere to arouse the subtle feelings of the audience at the bottom of one’s heart.
Hsin-Yi 's collection is different from the previous works, instead of gray, black, and white, he uses more colors to show different layers, such as rainbow colors, a symbol of the brightness through the dark, like the sun after rain. On the continuation of the fine brushwork, freehand style, using more flowing brush strokes. His works show a slight melancholy but not heavy feeling.

Ting-Chang believes that the importance of creation should not lie solely in visible images, colors, symbols, textures, and so on. The core of creation should be a process of spiritual and intellectual activity that transcends traditional interpretations and restores the mind to a natural, holistic state. This approach allows for a creative perspective that embraces more possibilities, aiming to integrate different oppositions and achieve a more comprehensive viewpoint. Artistic creation is a process of integration, and the artwork serves as its trace.

Based on the concept of "Wangchuan (忘川)," a river that washes away memory and self, Chen Ting-Chang developed "The Ballad of Wangchuan" series. Ting-Chang often paints one side of a sheet and then flips it over to continue on the other side, repeating this painting action. Each "interchange" echoes a shift in perspective, and each reversal is akin to a soul changing bodies within the river of Wangchuan. The xuan paper becomes a symbol of this river, a dark stream that gathers souls and memories, giving birth to self-awareness.

"The Ballad of Wangchuan" series encompasses not only paintings but also musical and sound compositions. Some works use sounds and music as drafts for paintings, while others are developed through the interaction between auditory and visual elements. By exploring the relationship between the sequential form of sound and the spatial form of visual expression, the series delves into the multifaceted nature of self.

Time, space, and life itself may forever remain questions, yet artists are willing to continuously use the entire process of life as an answer. Life might be a cycle within time and space, where the artist hopes for art to bring change to this cycle, or even to signify its end, ultimately allowing art to fulfill a desire for interpenetration within the cycle, giving rise to endless vitality. In the vastness of the universe, whispers of love and commitment continue without end, transcending the bonds of time and space!
