TAO ART SPACE
Tao Art Space is designed by Japanese architect Jun Aoki, inspired by Chinese classical gardens and winding corridors. Unlike the straightforward Western expressions, Chinese classical gardens conceal more than they reveal. Using irregular winding corridors and windows, Jun Aoki intensifies the spatial contrast; through the guidance of circulation, the permeation and layers change, enabling viewers’ line of sight to give the space rich combinations.
Jointly founded by Vicky Chen and her father, Tao Art centers on collectors and the promotion of art, making itself a platform for Taiwan and international art world. The interior is designed by Japanese architect Jun Aoki based on the idea of "urban garden", combining classical and modern elements along with contemporary lifestyles to demonstrate how art lives with us in our life through the gallery’s white cubes, tea house, living room and further on. Double Square Gallery
Double Square Gallery (双方藝廊) established in 2015, Taipei, is an art space that emphasis on the promotion of art, curatorial practice, publishing, research and art collection services as its core values. The name Double Square (in Chinese also meaning double sides) is taken from the two rectangular spaces configuration that created the Gallery space, it is at the same time, the expression of the physical space and the conceptual value of the gallery. Liang Gallery
The 32-year-old Liang Gallery was founded in 1993 by Directors Yu Yen-Liang and Claudia Chen. Claudia Chen is currently The Chairman of the Taiwan Art Gallery Association. Located in Neihu Technology Park in Taipei and based in a three-story building of 2000 square meters, Liang Gallery organizes exhibitions of different themes every month. Since its founding, the primary aim of the gallery has been to promote academic research and exhibitions of Taiwanese art. Gradually, international exhibition exchange has also become one of the main objectives of the gallery. The gallery promotes Taiwanese artists of the early 20th century, the most representative modern artists, post-war abstract ink-wash artists, and contemporary artists, thus focusing on the significance of the era of art and the social aspects of visual art.
